More about the Hachette Learning products, people and partnerships nominated for the BESA Awards below.
Primary – Outstanding Assessment Resource: Winning With Numbers
Winning With Numbers and Hachette Learning announced their strategic partnership in December 2025. In the words of Winning With Numbers co-founder Bethan Harding MBE, CEO:
This is credit to the huge amount of work that has gone into creating a Number Fluency Check as part of the Winning With Numbers programme. Feedback from schools is overwhelmingly positive and now we have validation from the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) too!
Bethan also went on to credit co-founder and Programme Director Ben Harding and the rest of the Winning With Numbers team, along with the schools they worked with to develop the programme.
Secondary – Outstanding Curriculum and Assessment Resource: Adaptive Revise
Adaptive Revise harnesses cutting-edge technology to unlock every student’s unique potential through personalised revision pathways, individual self-reflections and focused exam practice where they can sharpen their skills to become exam ready.
The platform can be used by learners, educators and parents to support GCSE students. In the words of Ruth Murphy, Head of Product Marketing for Secondary at Hachette Learning:
‘The reality for many GCSE students is that revision feels stressful and overwhelming as they work towards these high-stakes exams. There is just too much content and not enough time, and many students simply don’t know how to revise effectively or where to focus to get the best results. Adaptive Revise has been created to change that experience.
Students work through focused, bite-sized modules with clear explanations that they can read or listen to using the teacher panel feature. Crucially, they’re asked to reflect on their confidence in their knowledge before and after answering questions.
Reflecting on what they think they know and don’t know before seeing whether they are right or not really helps students to identify their strengths and gaps as they revise. It also drives the technology that tailors what content they see and when, and the format and frequency of the questions that they are asked. This helps them to revise effectively and focus on areas where they need the most practice.
Adaptive Revise brings together adaptive technology, cognitive science, metacognition, exam preparation and wellbeing into one accessible and affordable resource. It supports students, empowers teachers with meaningful insights, and delivers genuine impact, all while being simple and easy to use.’

We were particularly pleased to observe that the concepts you explained were well aligned with our existing pedagogical framework, while simultaneously broadening and enhancing our professional understanding.
