Winning With Numbers

A structured and systematic approach to number knowledge
WWN identifies 300 different pieces of number knowledge, transforming complex pathways and connected topics into one ideal, straight-line sequence of learning.
From saying "1, 2, 3" to performing mental calculations with two decimal place numbers, learners are supported as they make incremental steps in developing their understanding and acquiring (or 'winning') new pieces of number knowledge.

Winning With Numbers includes...

300 Sequenced Teaching Videos
Highly visual ‘Teach Me!’ videos explain key concepts and ideas to children.
- Mapped to each of the 300 pieces of Number Knowledge.
- Can be used by teachers in planning, shown within lessons and viewed again as homework.
I have been hugely impressed by the level of forensic thinking that sits behind Winning With Numbers. It is far from a simple programme, but rather an approach that is rooted in robust evidence of how numbers can be taught in a way that is accessible to all pupils.
Trust Improvement Lead Tees Valley Education TrustThinking of it as like phonics for maths has been a gamechanger... Our independent learners are loving the system. A very able child thrives on the program because it allows autonomy and self-led learning... . Staff have benefited from the inbuilt retrieval practice which is useful to identify and address previous gaps in learning... Parents are highly engaged in Winning With Numbers and are supporting their child’s learning at home.
Headteacher Langwathby PrimaryWe all love using Winning With Numbers because it is highly engaging for staff, pupils and parents. Headteacher Langley Green PrimaryThe children love Winning With Numbers every day. They like the structure and benefit from the routine. It is clearly obvious that learning is sticking during the teaching of the programme and through their outcomes. Maths outcomes have improved. Giving children daily exposure to the Winning With Numbers has certainly played a huge part in this. Now that Winning With Numbers is embedded in daily lessons children are more confident and fluent. The small step curriculum really helps all children succeed.
