Instructions for former MARK schools to continue reporting on progress before your historical data is available in Boost Insights.
We are working on migrating your historical test data from MARK to Boost Insights and this will be complete in the New Year.
I want to see me learners' attainment for the 2024 Autumn Term (September–December)
Your ability to analyse the results of your assessments this term is not affected by the delay in MARK data. Any results recorded in your Boost Insights account this term can be used to populate dashboards and generate reports:
- Set up your account in Boost Insights.
- Learners complete their New PiRA / New PUMA / New GaPS / NTS Reading / NTS Maths assessments on paper or interactively.
- Marks are recorded or added to marksheets in Boost Insights..
- Generate reports, depending on your data needs, to see your learners’ attainment for this term.

I want to compare my learners' attainment in the 2024 Autumn Term (September–December) to their attainment in the previous academic year (2023–2024)

- Set up your account in Boost Insights.
- Learners complete their New PiRA / New PUMA / NTS Reading / NTS Maths assessments on paper or interactively.
- Marks are recorded or added to marksheets in Boost Insights..
- For the purpose of cross-comparing your Autumn Term data in Boost Insights with your historical data in MARK we recommend generating and downloading the following reports in Boost Insights:
Individual Learner Report
Generate the Individual Learner Report in Boost Insights to look at the progress of individual learners.
Standardised Scores, Age-standardised Scores and Attainment Ages are provided to cross-compare with previous results.
Whole-school Data Export
Generate the Whole-school Data Export in Boost Insights to look at the progress of a whole cohort, such as a year group or your school.
Results and standardised scores for all pupils will be exported into a spreadsheet, with tabs for each year group.
5. Log in to MARK.
6. Generate the following reports with the data you have stored in MARK:
Pupil Progress Report
If you want to compare the progress for individual learners or a small group, generate the Pupil Progress Report (orange report) in MARK.
Compare standardised scores of each learner against their scores in the Individual Learner Report downloaded from Boost Insights.
Whole School Gap Analysis Export
If you want to compare the progress of a whole cohort, run the Whole School Gap Analysis Export in MARK for the test suite you are using and the term you want to track progress against.
Compare standardised scores from this data export against the Whole School Export downloaded from Boost Insights.
Your historical test data from MARK will be available to access in Boost Insights from 2025.
(This does not apply to historical GAPS, ART and AMT data, as these assessments now have new editions.)
